Paying too much attention to the negative things some people are saying about could only get you depressed.
And you know that depression would never
encourage you to take positive steps forward, to where you could attain your goals.
The state of depression is a fertile ground for indulging in self-pity. It creates an ambience of inferiority complex around you and robs you of the ‘I CAN DO IT’ spirit.
Therefore, paying too much attention to negative comments about you and the things you do can only lead you to everything negative.
However, this is not suggesting that you should ignore them completely. You should listen, use them as the basis for self-evaluation, pick out the positives and work on being a better person. But don’t allow them to get to you and depress you.
