Francis Quarles: Put off thy cares with thy clothes; so shall thy rest strengthen thy labor, and so thy labor sweeten thy rest.

Some birds are capable of conquering the air for miles,

and they can glide and dance in the air for what seems like a life time

but they usually don’t forget to perch and rest,

enjoy their achievements, plan ahead, refresh and soar again,

and keep climbing higher and higher, against the force of gravity,

yet they know there’s a limit to that resistance and before they reach it,

they retreat to perch and rest again where they can fold their wings

and enjoy life’s precious gifts of times and seasons,

they know that the best will come when it will come,

all they have to do is to work, rest, then rest and work.
